 Tenerife - Excursions Teide National Park
In 1954 the Mount Teide has become National Park and is considered the largest and most popular nature reserve (almost 200kmq extension) in all Spain. This is an extraordinary place; it puts together around the 80% of the volcanic formations of the world. Every year millions and millions of visitors arrived from all around the world.
In the park live together many different plant species, around 14 different types are unique in the world. The Park offers many different and surprising paths that across the whole park. Many other paths are being prepared. You can get a guide or go long on your own. Beware: high altitude of the mountain requires a certain of physical training.
The fearless and well trained must reach Pico del Teide (the highest peak of Spain- 3718 m). The best way to reach Pico del Teide is by feet but also with the skyline which quite expensive. When is it a nice and sunny day the view is amazing and with a bit of luck you can see the El Hierro, La Palma and La Gomera.
Not far from Pico you’ll find Roques de García, solidified lava has formed original landscapes. Very nice is also Roque Cinchado.
Well known and most popular is El Llano de Ucanca a huge natural land, west of Pico. Many come hear to take wonderful and special pictures.
