Spaghetti Western in Sioux City
Sioux City was chosen as the location for two Italian films of Sergio Leone: "For a few dollars more" and "For a Fistful of Dollars". Both films offer an interpretation of the legendary Clint Eastwood.
The mini-western city lends itself well to this type of script and faithfully reconstructs the far west of America.
The two films are part of the "Trilogy of the dollar" of the director, followed by "The good, the bad and the ugly."
For you fans of the genre, is a great opportunity to relive the places of the gunman cow boy of a great director.
It is not the first time that the film proves to love the Canaries. Go to Lanzarote to see!

Gran Canaria - History
Anciently called Tamarán, probably for the great number of trees called tamarindi. Gran Canaria surrendered to the dominion of the Spanish empire between 1478 and 1483, years in which the conquistadores conquered the beautiful island.
The first was Juan Rejón, replaced then (in spite his success at Doramas, head of the reign of Telde) by Pedro de Vera. The progressive Christianity played a decisive role in the conquest also when El Guancho Tenesor Semidan converted himself to the Christianity and persuaded its people to do the same.
Since then many people arrived from all over Eurpoe, from Spain, Italy, France, Great Britain etc. Gran Canaria saw the growth of commercial affaris not only with european partners but also oversea.
This success started slowing down when the request of sugar started declining but quickly resolved at the end 1800. This success of Gran Canaria provoked a rivalry with the near Tenerife that still today in some way it persists.
