In the chaotic Island of Gran Canaria, Las Palmas certainly stands out to be the number one. Among the events that take place needs to be mentioned some really interesting film festivals.
• In February takes place the Festival del Sol. During the month in the village of Las Palmas and of Playa de Inglès is held the Festival of Independent Gay Cinema. The event started in 2006 and allows visitors to view high-quality films from all over the world.
• Between February and March takes place the International Film Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in which all types of film are seen: short fictions, animation and documentary films.
